SUMMER TEAMS
Great Lakes Baseball Academy will be running Youth Summer Teams for the 2027 summer season.
Our youth summer teams will focus on individual skill development, teaching players the “Team” aspect of baseball, while allowing players a chance to play against competition that raise the level of their game. Players will also build positive relationships with our staff, their teammates, and our Great Lakes families.
Summer Program Includes
7 Tournaments
Mid-week doubleheaders
2-3 Practices per week
2 Speed & Strength sessions per week
2 Coaches per team
Mental performance classes
Leadership classes
Open facility access throughout the spring/summer season

YOUTH SUMMER TRYOUTS
The purpose of tryouts is to assess an individual player’s abilities and to place them on the appropriate team so they may compete, grow, and enjoy playing alongside players at their skill level.
No player will be placed on a team until they have completed the tryout process.
Tryout Information
Day 1 | August 3rd | Data Testing
13U & 14U: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Day 2 | August 6th | On-Field Evaluations
13U & 14U: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Process

All players must attend both tryouts.

Great Lakes coaches will run the tryout process.

All players will stretch/catch together as an academy during their tryout.

All players will be evaluated in the following areas (infield, outfield, hitting, and pitching).

All players should be in full uniform (hat, shirt, baseball pants, etc.).
Cost
Tryout fee is $55 if you pre-register; $65 for walk-ups
